Blooming Into the New Year Together 🌸

Remember in high school when you had a CD of all your favorite songs playing in the car 24/7? I deeply remember the songs from that time in my life, the ones that got me through. So I decided to make a 2025 playlist of the songs that carried me through the highs and lows of this year. It has been a wild ride, and I truly believe music heals. So… enjoy this playlist as you read along.😘

Break or Bloom? It's up to you.

What a year!! This year was hard. And it was BEAUTIFUL. In the hard moments, I leaned into my anchors. I practiced meeting the moment, letting energy move, and transform. To me, that is what creative wellness is all about.

Creative wellness is alchemy. It is magic.

When I was 16, I went through a powerful experience. It could have broken me, but instead, I let it pull me toward the creative wellness practices that have helped me navigate life ever since. My biggest learning is this: hard moments are inevitable. We will all face deep challenges, heartbreak, and mistakes. What defines us is not what happens to us, but how we meet the moment.

For me, creative wellness tools like yoga, ceramics, doodling, running, and watercoloring help me meet whatever is present. They help me alchemize it into something new.

I do not want to deny any experience, and I do not want life’s hard moments to define or consume me. Instead, I choose to meet them, compost them, and continue to bloom.

I feel so proud of my 16-year-old self for letting a hard moment become an invitation to take agency over her healing and the way she chose to move through the world. And 16 years later, my roots in these practices run deep. I feel deeply called and grateful to share this little internal toolkit I call creative wellness.

&& I am so grateful and ready to continue sharing creative wellness magic with you!

Let's create our most authentic year yet👇

As I reflected on the year, it felt like I watched myself bloom. It was not all sunshine and clear skies. There was wind, rain, and many storms. And through those moments, my roots deepened. I grew stronger. I learned how to nourish myself and transform challenges into something new, to bloom. Life continues to life. And I am so grateful for resourcing myself, and others, as we ride this ride together 🎢

There were a lot of challenges, and lot of really beautiful moments that I am ridiculously grateful for and proud of:

  • I published my first e-book!😱 More to come in 2026 🤫 Use code CREATE for 10% off the most creative way to start the new year.
  • After ten years of contemplation, I started grad school for Mental Health Counseling at William & Mary!!
  • I started teaching weekly classes again, and it feels so good to hold regular space in community Thursdays at 7am for Sunrise Vinyasa at The Yoga Dojo.
  • I watched my vision board come to life. I set up my sunroom studio and got my first kiln!!🎨 Actually TWO!! A lifelong dream come true. Phase two is setting up a shed so we can keep creating!
  • I led my first international creative wellness retreat with Preston!!! 🏝️ I felt both at the edges of deep growth and deeply in my element. There is so much more coming in 2026, and I cannot wait to take you with me!!
  • 🌮I traveled to Mexico City and reconnected with my family and cultural roots. This trip meant everything to me, and I cannot wait to return....!
  • I cultivated new, soul-nourishing friendships 💕🥹
  • I leaned into my fire element and put boundary-setting into action 🔥
  • I laughed, played, danced, adventured, and found pockets of joy in the hard moments, and also let myself cry, break, and be held.

Thank you for being here, for supporting my work, and for allowing me to share it with you. I cannot wait to compost, alchemize, and keep creating with you in the new year!

Xoxo,

Hate to see you go, but understand if you must!https://preview.kit-mail3.com/unsubscribe

"Dance like a child" In a dream, on the night she had an emergency surgery, my grandmother told me that February was going to be one of the hardest months, and the way through was to “dance like a child.” She was right, and I took her advice very literally. This playlist has been my go-to: give it a listen & bust a move! Reply back with any bangers I should add to the playlist! This winter has been a season full of so much joy, so much grief, so much growth — the loss of my grandmother, the...

How do you fill your cup? I just turned 33-- and the words that keep coming to mind: "I like who and how I am becoming". I entered a creative cocoon this past weekend at an artist retreat with inspiring women. We spent our days diving into our creative pursuits, embracing the magic of nature, sharing our talents, and nourishing each other through cooking, laughter, and dance. Going into this portal, I felt depleted. Life and the world continue to require more and more of all of us. Despite...

Travel, Identity, and Creativity Last month, Will and I traveled to Mexico City. This trip ended up meaning so much more to me than I expected and deeply reconnected me to my roots 💕 Something I don’t often share is my cultural identity. On my dad’s side, both of my great-grandparents are from Lebanon. They migrated to Mexico, where my grandparents met, and my dad was born. When my dad was a baby, my grandfather fled Mexico and came to the U.S., where he opened the first Mexican restaurant in...
